Title: Maintenance Supervisor

**Job Type**: Full-Time Permanent

Wage: Starting at $32.00/hr with performance based raise after 6 months

Benefits at 3 months

3% RSP match at 6 months

**Job Description**:

- Responsible for ensuring all MLF Hatcheries facilities systems/equipment is operating within SOP parameters, including troubleshooting/repairing machines/equipment with regards to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, pneumatic, hydraulic issues as required
- Ensures the safety of all team members with regards to MLF Hatcheries facilities systems/equipment, including handling of chemicals, lock out/tag out and safe work procedures
- Maintain a safe work environment for all employees by ensuring general maintenance is kept up to date for all aspects of MLF Hatcheries including production and office areas by performing preventative or emergency/unscheduled maintenance as required
- Participate in planning/design of projects, improvements, and/or replacement of Hatchery equipment by working with service providers to gather quotes
- Read and interpret equipment manuals/work orders to perform any required preventative maintenance and service
- Optimize equipment and machines by diagnosing issues, ordering replacement parts/repairing parts, testing of equipment and machines and making any necessary adjustments as required
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance performed, including maintenance logs and preventative maintenance programs
- Ability to be on-call (rotating schedule) which could include calls in the evening, weekend and stat holidays as required. Would be required to learn hatchery/incubator equipment and to live within twenty (20) minute drive of hatchery location to ensure timely response to any hatchery alarms

Education, Experience and Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience in a maintenance role required, including a minimum of one year in a Supervisory role; preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with HVAC systems, pipefitting, plumbing repairs preferred
- Experience working with food processing equipment preferred
- Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.;
- Working knowledge of knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS, and all other workplace H&S regulations;
- High School Diploma required or equivalent
- Certified/licensed tradesperson
- Valid class G Ontario driver’s license
