**About the Opportunity**:
The Booking Clerk is responsible for the booking and scheduling of surgical patients for the Operating Theatres and Pre-Op Clinic in a prompt and efficient manner. The Booking Clerk works closely with the OR Booking Officer, Manager of Surgical Services, OR Clinical Leader, Access Manager, physicians, and nurses. The position will involve rotating through the Surgical Services Booking Office and the Pre-Op Clinic.
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Successful completion of Grade XII or equivalent required
- Graduate of a post-secondary secretarial or office administration program or equivalent required
- Successful completion of a recognized Medical Terminology course with demonstrated knowledge of surgical terminology required
- Previous booking experience in a hospital setting is required
- Demonstrated strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask
- Demonstrated excellence in prioritization skills with the ability to accomplish tasks within varying time limitations
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Must demonstrate a customer focused service which interacts with the public in person and on the telephone in a pleasant, courteous and efficient manner
- Demonstrated ability to function well as a team member is required
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this position
- Competencies in other languages are an asset, French preferred

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$20.09 - $21.90 Hourly
