Location: Bracebridge, ON
We currently require a **Shipper Receiver** to join our Bracebridge team. This position is responsible for receiving and posting incoming shipments; which includes verification of quantities, checking & noting damages, and accurate posting of parts to inventory. Additionally, the position will prepare outgoing shipments, including the picking and preparing of outgoing orders/returns for both customers and vendors. The Shipper Receiver will report directly to the Parts Manager.
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries, using provided tools as appropriate (e.g. dollies, lifts, etc.)
- Comply with all company policies and procedures regarding the delivery of goods
- Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking
- Maintain filing of shipping documents
- Prepare and schedule shipments as assigned and crate daily shipment schedule
- Schedule daily transportation needs with different carriers/couriers
- Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required
- Create purchase requisitions and obtain approval prior to placing supply orders
- Sort and distribute incoming shipments and report discrepancies to immediate supervisor
- Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming and out going items prior to signing off
- Complete all necessary paperwork. May include, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documents
- Prepare and schedule shipments as assigned
- Schedule shipments with carriers / couriers as necessary
- Sort and distribute incoming shipments
- Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off
- Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor
- Ensure that all shipments contain proper documentation and if multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete
- Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries
- Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations
- Make deliveries with company vehicle as assigned
- Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers both verbally and in written form
- Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
- online shipping, tracking and receiving experience utilizing FedEx, UPS, Purolator and DHL
- Valid Ontario Driver's License (Class G) and a Clean Driver's abstract
- Experience in the heavy trucking industry preferred
- Working experience in Shipping and Receiving role preferred
- Previous Experience & Forklift Experience an asset
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TGD) certification, an asset
- Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail in all areas of work
- Professional / mature demeanor under stressful situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Confident, decisive personality
- Must be able to work with little supervision; and be able to work self-directed
- Must have CSA approved footwear
- Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
**Work Conditions**:
- Local travel required
- Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Overtime may be required
- Handling heavy loads
