**Job Summary**:
Top Defence Security Services is seeking a highly qualified and certified Use of Force/Defensive Tactics Instructor to join our team. The Trainer will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs that adhere to the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and legal compliance. This role requires a demonstrated ability to teach and train security personnel in the use of force and defensive tactics, ensuring that all practices are compliant with Canadian law and industry standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and deliver training programs on the use of force, defensive tactics, and related topics.
- Ensure that all training materials and methodologies comply with legal and regulatory standards.
- Provide hands-on instruction to security personnel, ensuring they are proficient in the skills required to perform their duties safely and effectively.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal standards, policies, and best practices related to the use of force.
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to ensure trainees meet the required competencies.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to security personnel post-training.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required for regulatory and compliance purposes.

**Qualifications**:

- **Mandatory**: Proof of certification as a Use of Force Instructor or Defensive Tactics Instructor.
- Acceptable proof includes but is not limited to:

- Police Trainer Certification from the Canadian Police College, Ontario Police College, or any Municipal Police College.
- Manufacturer's Use of Force Certificate.
- Extensive experience in law enforcement, security, or military training roles.
- Strong knowledge of legal standards and regulations governing the use of force in Canada.
- Exceptional communication and instructional skills.
- Ability to adapt training techniques to meet the needs of different learning styles.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).

- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Schedule:

- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Instructor: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Certified Use of Force Instructor (required)
- Defensive Tactics Instructor (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
