**Position Overview**:

Reporting to the Chief Pilot, the **Direct Entry Captain** will operate a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft serving our route network in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. As the airline grows, we are actively recruiting permanent full-time Direct Entry Captains to meet the demand of our additional routes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Performing pre-flight inspections of aircraft and systems to ensure safety.
- Operating the aircraft safely and maintaining a good degree of professionalism at all times.
- Monitoring weather conditions and communicating with air traffic control during flights.
- Liaising with First Officers and flight crew throughout the flight.
- Listing with Dispatch and reviewing flight plans prior to takeoff and in accordance with Transport Canada regulations.
- Anticipating issues and maintaining the commercial schedule.
- Notifies crew and passengers promptly of turbulence, adverse weather conditions, or any other operational factors affecting the flight.
- Maintaining required communication with maintenance, SOCC, and dispatch personnel when conducting flights.
- Keeping up to date with aircraft advancements and equipment.
- Filing reports of the flight trip and status of aircraft after landing.
- Providing the Chief Pilot with any updated information regarding the safety of the flight.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Must have a minimum of 5,000 hours total time (fixed-wing)
- 500+ PIC hours on jet aircraft above 75 000 pounds, or 1000+ hours on B737NG/MAX (B73C)
- Must be able to travel unrestricted to and from the United States
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
- Valid Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot’s License (ATPL)
- Valid Category 1 medical
- Must have English and/or French language proficiency
- Clear background and criminal record checks

**Salary Range**:From $114,528.00 to $169,334.40 as per Collective Agreement

**Hours**: Minimum monthly guarantee of 80 flying credits, and eligible for overtime after 85 hours
