**General Accountability**

The Business Analyst plays an integral role in providing in-depth business and financial analysis. The individual in this role ensures the timely analysis of sales, costing, and other data to facilitate well-informed business decisions.

Business Analyst partners with the leadership team to enable revenue growth and increase sales by providing effective methodologies, efficient processes, analytics and value-added information. S/he is responsible for forecasting revenue, and expenditures, as well as modeling capital structure and budgeting. S/he will build and help to standardize business reporting for strategic analysis and internal business review.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provide sales, costing, and other analysis as per requests from many different managers to aid in decision making
- Historical sales trend analysis
- Monthly sales reporting to the upper management team
- Maintain issuing of regular metrics, reports and dashboards on financial analysis from different business units
- Support teams to draw conclusions and make recommendations for the Company’s commercialization strategy and product development priorities
- Liaise with IT and Finance for input into operational infrastructure projects including the development /expansion of data warehouse, Business Intelligence CRM, and ERP
- Partner with the sales leadership to create and maintain sales forecasting, track sales data, provide analytics of data and make recommendations to CCO.
- Recognizes, develops and implements improvements and simplifying processes
- Assist with training on CRM software and other new technology
- Optimize the use of the CRM sales software. Set up reports both in CRM and beyond to track sales operations and identify areas of improvement
- Interact frequently with internal business partners (operations, finance, other sales) to drive customer satisfaction, territory, increase sales and resolve escalated issues.
- Other duties as identified and needed by the business

**Education**
- University degree in finance, accounting, or another business program

**Key Attributes (experience, skills and technical knowledge)**
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a business/financial reporting role
- Data management and data quality expertise
- Strong business and sales acumen
- Medical devices experience an asset
- Proven ability to translate high-level sales strategies into a system and process requirements
- Success using databases and CRM sales software
- Strong data management abilities and analytical skills
- A results-oriented mentality, conveying a sense of urgency and driving things to closure
- Well-developed and proven capabilities in problem-solving
- Demonstrated strength to both work independently and as well as build effective relationships with others
- Ability to perform advanced computing functions
