**GATEHOUSE ASSOCIATE**

We are currently looking for a Gatehouse associate to work in a fast-paced retail environment. This position requires working outside and to be extremely knowledgeable of building materials to ensure that each customer’s order is correct. Due to the Loss Prevention aspect of the position you need to ensure all products are accounted and paid for before leaving the premises, so you need to be efficient, tactful and thorough to excel at this position. 

Typical career steps are to work in administration or loss prevention.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collect payments
- Operate registers, scanners, and credit card/debit card terminals 
- Check customer loads for accuracy
- Clear all loads coming in and leaving the yard
- Report any violations, theft, accidents, or injuries to the store manager
- Provide excellent customer service
- Ability to lift light to heavy merchandise

**Requirements**:

- Lumber knowledge as an asset
- Physically demanding
- Working in all weather conditions, fast-paced environment
- Great verbal communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
