Mind Connections Inc. is an Ontario based multi-disciplinary rehabilitation company, providing services to severely injured individuals including ones with concussions, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, severe orthopedic injuries and mental health issues.
Our team compromises of neuro-surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, psychiatrists, physiatrists, psychologists, occupations therapists, social workers, speech language pathologists, dieticians, rehabilitation support workers and personal support workers working collaboratively with the clients. We are expanding our vestibular program and seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist with Vestibular Therapy specialty to join our growing team.
**Position Overview**
As a Physiotherapist with expertise in concussions and other neurological disorders and conducting Functional Abilities Evaluations (FAE), you will work closely with the team to develop individualized treatment plans that help patients regain confidence and stability in their daily lives.
**Responsibilities**
- Conduct comprehensive vestibular assessments, including oculomotor testing, balance evaluations and positional maneuvers.
- Conducts FAEs
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using vestibular rehabilitation techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises and symptom management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic standards.
- Stay current with best practices and emerging research in vestibular therapy.
**Qualifications**
- Licensed Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist in Ontario.
- Specialized training or certification in vestibular rehabilitation (e.g. Herdman course, Emory University Certification) recommended.
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
- Empathetic, patient-centered approach to care.
