**Overview**

The Billing associate works closely with the Accounting Manager to manage the accounts receivable and the billing/invoicing of the company.

**Accountabilities**

**Billing & Invoicing - 90%**
- Prepare, verify, and process customer invoices and credits.
- Assist with Credit Applications.
- Cross check files with ERP / Sage Accounting systems.
- Ensure the AR transactional data is accurate and entered in a timely manner to achieve the timelines.
- Compiles and collates back up documentation for invoice logs.
- Ensures that all master files are reconciled and filed in an appropriate timely manner.
- Prepare customer credit limits and chargeable service/branch invoices in Sage software.
- Respond to internal and external customers on invoicing inquiries.
- Manage customer internal portal systems for invoicing.
- Manage customer rebates and cheque authorizations for customers.

**Department Coverage - 10%**
- Assist with coverage at our Reception Desk as needed.
- Assist with coverage for General Accounting as needed.

**Experience**
- 2+ years of Accounts receivable and Billing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Accounting ERP system
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, Financial software.

**Competencies**
- Ability to influence and build relationships while also demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Ability to provide an exceptional customer service experience with internal and external business partners.
- Experience in Manufacturing and/or Construction considered an asset.
- Very high integrity, ethical and trustworthy.

**Education**

Diploma in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

**Working Conditions**

- Operate primarily in an office environment.
- Routinely use standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
- Involves sitting, walking, and standing on a regular basis.
- Pressure to produce tangible results and complete projects within tight timelines.
- Requires a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Flexible schedule and occasional weekend work depending on business demands.
