**About the position**:
Reporting to the Principal and/or her delegates and working in collaboration with the teachers and resource teachers, you will be responsible to:

- Work collaboratively with the homeroom teacher and specialist- Work directly with groups of students under the pedagogical guidance of teachers.- Create, develop, adjust, and customize educational materials, resources, and specialized equipment to cater to students with special needs;- Monitor and document students' performance and communicate any progress or challenges related to physical, cognitive, or socio-emotional aspects to the teacher;- Support students during integration activities.- Facilitate educational activities/ workshops depending on the program in place- Collaborate with teachers for the welfare of students using positive discipline- Use appropriate language and interactions, modeling positive behavior- Provide support to designated teachers in the classroom with students- Assist in the preparation and storage of equipment used for teaching- Supervise lunches and/or recess- Replace occasionally in the classroom- Participate in in-house professional development
- Perform other duties as required

**Who we are looking for**:

- Excellent French and English skills (oral and written)- College diploma in special education or university degree in psycho-education or a related field- Diploma in early childhood education (ECE) from an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology, t is an asset- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with children (pre-school, primary and junior levels)- Excellent interpersonal skills, respectful, and diplomatic communication skills with students, parents, and staff- Proven experience in working with special needs children- Strong work ethic and effective time management skills- Independent and reliable team player, flexible with the ability to work in a demanding environment and to transition easily depending on the situation
- Proven effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

**La position**:
Reportant à la principale et/ou de ses délégués et en collaboration avec les enseignants et les enseignants ressources, vous serez chargé(e) de:
- Travailler en collaboration avec le professeur principal et le spécialiste.- Travailler directement avec des groupes d'élèves sous la direction pédagogique des enseignants.- Créer, développer, adapter et personnaliser le matériel pédagogique, les ressources et l'équipement spécialisé pour répondre aux besoins des élèves ayant des besoins particuliers ;- Suivre et documenter les performances des élèves et communiquer à l'enseignant tout progrès ou défi lié aux aspects physiques, cognitifs ou socio-émotionnels ;- Soutenir les élèves pendant les activités d'intégration.- Animer des activités/ateliers éducatifs en fonction du programme en place.- Collaborer avec les enseignants pour le bien-être des élèves en utilisant une discipline positive.- Utiliser un langage et des interactions appropriés, en donnant l'exemple d'un comportement positif.- Apporter un soutien aux enseignants désignés dans la salle de classe avec les élèves.- Aider à la préparation et au rangement du matériel utilisé pour l'enseignement.- Superviser les déjeuners et/ou les récréations- Remplacer occasionnellement dans la salle de classe- Participer au développement professionnel interne
- Effectuer d'autres tâches selon les besoins.

**La personne que nous cherchons**Excellente maîtrise du français et de l'anglais (oral et écrit)- Diplôme d'études collégiales en éducation spécialisée ou diplôme universitaire en psychoéducation ou dans un domaine connexe- Diplôme en éducation de la petite enfance (ECE) d'un collège d'arts appliqués et de technologie de l'Ontario, t est un atout.- M
