Procurement Specialist

**Position**:Procurement Specialist

**Reports to**:Purchasing Director

The Procurement Clerk will be responsible for purchasing all RAW (protein, vegetables, and spices) inputs and arranging for delivery. The Procurement Clerk will be responsible for managing inventory, scheduling of production requirements, arranging the import of product from overseas, and assisting with special projects.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Manage all raw material (protein) purchasing functions, including cutting PO, verification of orders, tracking shipments and signing invoices.
- Coordinate raw material requirements with customer’s buying team for their products.
- Source and purchase supplies from different countries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Production, Replenishment, QA) to ensure timely procurement for new product launches.
- Complete vendor scorecards annually for QA audits or as required.
- Source new raw material vendors and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery.
- Ensure vendor compliance with FH regulations and maintain Approved Vendor List.
- Participate in Chicken, Turkey & Beef TRQ Quota Team, ensuring quotas are allocated correctly during the assigned compliance periods
- Bi-weekly conference calls with customers to manage inventory, review requirements, and manage quarterly financial true-ups.
- Schedule production for two lines of product and prepare weekly production reports.
- Oversee export and import processes for finished goods.
- Coordinate pickups with Freshouse's Logistics Team and external logistics companies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- 3-5 years of purchasing for food processing facilities.
- 1-2 years of logistics and supply chain management experience.
- Experience importing and exporting to different countries.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- High level of knowledge of Microsoft office.
- Experience maintaining customer relationships.
- Ability to multitask and work with tight deadlines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
