**PRIMARY PURPOSE**

The purpose of the Curriculum Coordinator is to develop ministry submissions for new programs and program changes, to help coordinate the institutional program review process and the new program launch process, to regularly review the growth and performance of academic programs and to assist with program accreditation management.

***

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**

**The**
**Curriculum Coordinator**
**will be responsible for**:
**Developing and Coordinating Ministry Submissions **

Coordinating submissions for new programs 

Working with SMEs ( internal and external ) to develop program and course outlines and coordinating the ministry program review

 Sourcing external SMEs as required (via LinkedIn, advertising, or other sources)

 Completing the Pre-Program Approval draft form for Academics and Operations 

Working with the Research Associate to recommend program pricing, determine NOC codes, and coordinate other required industry research

 Coordinating submissions for program updates, including the addition of Capstones to all relevant programs 

Working with the Compliance staff in regions where the submission is done via Compliance, eg. AB, BC, ON

 Working directly on the Ministry submissions system for regions where Academics submits directly
- eg. MB

 Participating in the Greenhouse process for new program idea generation

 Communicating any Special Requirements needed for the program

**Coordinating**
**the Institutional**
**Program Review Process**

 Maintaining the program review calendar and updating the All Program Tracker with review dates, and status 

Coordinating the kick off meeting for each program review

 Creating a project management schedule of due dates for each step of the review 

Following up with Program Area Advisors to support the process and ensure timely completion of the review 

Track suggested updates and ensure they become part of the development process, eg. PAC meetings

**Coordinating the**
**New Program Launch Process **

Coordinating with all departments once notice of program approval is received 

Academics - ensuring the new program forms are completed by the National Director of Academics, ensuring the Master Schedule is communicated to the MyCampus Team

 MyCampus - ensuring the program is properly set up in MyCampus 

Training - scheduling the required training and program demos for Directors, Instructors, and the Admissions Team

 Arranging a kick off meeting to discuss the overall program plan 

Ensuring the Master Booklist is ready and pricing is in place 

Ensuring any special requirements for the program are in place 

Ensure Program Launch Checklist is completed

**Monitoring Program Performance **

Regularly checking student numbers in Lead Centre and creating reports for Academics on the performance of each program; highlighting programs of note 

Coordinating with other academic staff for attrition tracking and analysis 

Connecting with the Research Associate, Admissions, and other departments to keep a constant pulse on competitor developments and keeping Academic Directors informed

**Assisting with Program Accreditation Management **

Assisting with the project management of accreditations through the calendar and overall accreditation tracker 

Creating project management trackers for each accreditation preparation in order to delegate tasks among staff and record action items 

Following up with all staff involved in an accreditation to ensure timely delivery of action items and documents for review by Academics 

Ensuring all documentation is properly stored in the shared working area for Accreditations and following up to complete the records2

To be successful in the Curriculum Coordinator position, an individual must be committed to developing, maintaining and demonstrating the following:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Management, Engineering, or relevant discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with administrative work
- Strong project management skills and experience managing multiple projects
- Strong people sills and communication skills
- Self-starter, capable of working both independently and in an extremely fast-paced team environment
- Impeccable grammar, spelling and punctuation skills
- Resourceful and able to connect people to projects
- A positive attitude and willingness to work with the entire organization to reach goals
- Comfortable with multi-tasking, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines under pressure
- Strong work ethic
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel
