An exciting opportunity exists for the right individual to join a progressive non-profit organization as a **Casual Assisted Living Cook**. The position entails working in a residential setting with individuals with physical disabilities, with some minor mental health issues and Acquired Brain Injuries in **Burnaby & Surrey**.

Liberty Place (Burnaby) and Freedom Place (Surrey) has around 20 - self-contained one-bedroom fully accessible units complete with bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen. Each building is formed by a community of independent tenants who can direct their own care and require mínimal support at key times throughout the day from a team of care aides, hospitality staff, and nurses.

This position would entail providing 3 nutritious meals for all residents.

**This is a casual on-call position.**

**Shifts can be between 10:00am to 6:00pm - flexible days.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing healthy nutritious meals to individuals
- Following health care plans
- Completing daily documentation
- Following meals plans described in case plans
- Interacting with staff and individuals living in the building
- Preparing meals
- Maintaining the kitchen
- Possible ordering while maintaining a budget
- Working as a team

**Qualifications**:

- One (1) year recent related experience in a similar setting.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Must have a minimum Food Safe Level 1.

***Compensation**: $21.20 per hour, plus benefits upon meeting eligibility requirements.
