**Pacific Smoke International** is Canada’s leading distributor of electronic vaporizers and manufacturer of award-winning vaping products. Our goal is to empower people nationwide to quit smoking by choosing a safer alternative to combustible cigarettes. We are a young, thriving company, located in Markham and we are seeking a culturally aligned and skilled **Manager, Content and Copywriting** to join our team.
At PSI, writing for advertising, marketing and corporate communications is viewed at a national and global level, representing our hottest brands and the corporation on both digital and physical mediums. The ideal Manager, Content and Copywriting supports our professional writing needs (not mundane daily internal writing) across the organization, including the executive level. Additional key responsibilities include managing content and copywriters, overseeing and being accountable for significant writing projects, and ensuring that all content/copy adheres to each specific brand’s language, tone and voice to match the intended audience.

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities**
Furthermore, the Manager, Content and Copywriting’s responsibilities/accountabilities include:
- Support the professional and important writing needs across the organization, including executives.
- Hire, train and manage Content and Copywriters, and model the desired abilities and behaviours.
- Understand and maintain the various and distinct voices of our current brands, while developing new voices for future brands catered to the target audience.
- Deliver impactful, attention-grabbing content/copy on printed mediums such as brochures, sell sheets, point-of-sale materials, trade show booths, product packaging and more.
- Learn and maintain an understanding of industry regulations to ensure compliance of all content/copy published.
- Guide thematic expression from ideation to conception to completion, while collaborating with marketing teams, including product development, digital, brands and design to finalize finished creative, content/copy.
- Proofread, edit, and refine content/copy from team members and executives.
- Optimize content/copy for brand awareness, lead generation and lead conversions with Web, SEO and sales team members.
- Maintain knowledge of trending topics within industry, community, and the interests of target audiences.
- Identify content/copy gaps and recommend new topics and types of content/copy.
- Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, delivering results in a timely, efficient, effective, and error-free manner.
- Oversee regionalization requirements (i.e., translation to Quebec French and language localization of copy/content in English) internally and with outside agencies.
- Other related duties as assigned.
**Your experience and resume will show us**:
- Post-secondary education in Marketing/Communications/Writing or other related fields
- Minimum of 4 years of total creative, content and copywriting experience, with at least 1 year in some form of management level with a proven track record and portfolio work
- Extensive knowledge and work experience in a creative field, across various disciplines including digital marketing, social media, print advertising, content, and copywriting
- Communication skills that can command the attention of an entire room
- Hands-on experience in content research and content strategy
- Experience mentoring junior team members
- Experience in writing for B2B and B2C audiences (corporate/creative)
- A high level of attention to detail
- Ability to demonstrate brand language, tone, and voice
- Strong passion for harm reduction (smoking)

- Our office is located in Markham, ON. Our team is currently working from home on a full-time basis. This is a temporary arrangement due to Covid-19 and will transition back to the office (hybrid structure) in the future.
