**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Cooking a deli items: such as wide variety of items such as meat pies, salads, soups.
- Baking a deli items: carrot cake, nanaimo bars, apple pie, fruit & nut bar.
- Follow the cooking/baking schedule.
- Operate machinery
- Organize and maintain cooking supplies and inventory
- Prepare special orders for customers
- Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
- Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
- Cooking a variety of foods using various methods such as roasting, frying, boiling and baking.
- Being available to help to put away delivered supplies according to established procedures
- Ensure cleaning and sanitation standards are met
- Assist customers with their orders and provide excellent customer service
- Upsell additional deli items or promotions to customers
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow proper food handling procedures and adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Assist in the front of house, preparing sandwich, slicing cheese and meats, if needed.
- Assist in washing dishes
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed

**Skills**
- Previous cooking and baking in large quantities.
- Superb time management skills
- Ability to work in a safe and responsible manner
- Work well in a fast-paced environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 37.5 per week
