**Job Title: Restaurant Server/Bartender**

**Job Summary**: Hestia Kitchen is excited to announce that we are adding a second location. After great success in Kitsilano we are expanded to Richmond.

We are seeking a friendly and attentive server to join our restaurant team. In this role, you will take orders and deliver food and beverages to our customers. You should have a genuine passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your ultimate goal will be to ensure our guests have a positive dining experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting menu items.
- Take accurate food and drink orders from customers.
- Relay orders to the kitchen staff and ensure all orders are filled correctly and promptly.
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely manner.
- Check on customers throughout their meals to ensure satisfaction.
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly and courteously.
- Upsell additional products when appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and server stations.
- Handle guest complaints with professionalism and find satisfactory solutions.
- Process payments using the POS system accurately.
- Collaborate with other restaurant staff to provide excellent customer service.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a server or in a similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and delivering.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Basic math skills to handle payments and operate the POS system.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team.
- Food safety training and certification is a plus.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages.

**Flexible Language Requirement**:

- Mandarin an asset
- Cantonese an asset

**Experience**:

- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.40 per hour
