We currently have an exciting opportunity as a **Full-time General Labour for the Folding and Handwork Department**

This role is based at our manufacturing plant in **Scarborough**, and reports to the Shift Supervisor. We have **morning shift **available**:Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM -4:30 PM.**

**Responsibilities**
- Preparing orders for binding.
- Operating book bindery machines.
- Maintain the machine's operability and cleanliness.
- Notifying Machine Operators and/or Shift Supervisor of any quality issues.
- Processing handwork according to specifications (including boxing, bundling with elastic bands, wrapping, binding, coiling, and gluing).
- Packing finish product into boxes.
- Documenting final packing on job report.
- Assisting with warehouse workflow where necessary.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workstation based on 5S system.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- 1 year of bindery/handwork experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Prior experience in the printing industry is an asset.
- Good ability to follow instructions and attention to detail.
- Chinese is required.

**Working Conditions**:

- Standing for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day.
- Frequent lifting of objects.
- Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and twisting is required.
- Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
- Exposure to ink and chemical fumes, and airborne particles such as paper dust and drying powder.
- Additional hours may be required due to operational requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills e.g., working well with others, communication, positive attitude.
- Basic computer skills
- Good attention to detail and hand eye coordination.
- Able to work independently and as a member of the team.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and attention to workstation.
