**Job Description**:
AECOM's Transportation group is looking for a Drafting Technician with the experience and ability to do land surveying. Attached to the Moncton office of AECOM and reporting to the Manager, Railway Design and Construction, this position will be responsible for supporting the team on various railway projects by assuming the following responsibilities:

- Perform site visits, surveying, and technical analyses;
- Design civil infrastructure in railway rights-of-way;
- Design the geometries of railway tracks in plan and profile, taking into account the earthwork and the drainage required;
- Prepare digital terrain models;
- Calculate quantities;
- Prepare and check lists of points;
- Provide technical support to project managers;
- Support to the team for the preparation of offers of surveying services.

**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications required**:

- Diploma in civil engineering; Technical or Diploma in surveying
- 4 years of experience as a draftsman and/or surveyor;
- Experience acquired on projects;
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

**Desirable Qualifications**:

- 5-7 years of experience;
- Good knowledge of the required steps at different stages of projects
- Complementary experience gained on railway sites;
- Project management;
- Highly developed sense of organization and ability to work under pressure (able to handle several files simultaneously).
- Bilingual (French/English).
- Experience with Bentley Microstation, OpenRoads, InRoads and Revit;
- Demonstrates an interest in learning and perfecting their railway design skills on the Civil-3D platform
