As a building maintenance agent, you will support the building manager in the upkeep and maintenance of ABB's manufacturing site based in Quebec City. In this quality, you will coordinate the monitoring of the maintenance of the Quebec City facilities and perform certain maintenance tasks according to the needs and requirements established.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Track the maintenance activities according to the Guide Ti schedule for the various building systems: fire, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, elevator, equipment calibrations, and gas detection system.
- Support the building manager in the coordination of the major maintenance work on the building and equipment.
- Collaborate in the management of the building alarm and security system (Tyco) and emergency call (24-7). As such, be part of the list of respondents at events outside of site operation hours.
- Responsible for fire safety, monthly and annual inspections of various equipment: fire extinguishers, sprinklers, alarm systems, emergency doors and exits, etc.
- Collaborate in the reception of contractors and ensure compliance with good health and safety practices and standards on the part of the stakeholders.
- Monitor and maintain the interior and exterior cleanliness of the site: waste, cleaning, landscaping, snow removal, pest management etc.
- Perform certain minor repair tasks.
- Make various purchases and errands as needed to make certain repairs.
- Any other related duties as requested by the manager.

**Your background**:

- Have solid experience in building maintenance, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Have a general knowledge of minor building repairs involving plumbing, welding, mechanics, and preventive maintenance related to the building.
- Have a good knowledge of the laws, regulations, and standards applicable to buildings.
- Hold a permit to operate the aerial work platform (work at height) (asset).
- Experience in health and safety in an industrial setting (asset).
- Bilingualism English French (asset).
- Possess a good sense of organization and autonomy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with various teams.
- Good knowledge of the tools of the Office Suite (Excel and Word especially).
