Commercial/residential Sales Rep

**SUMMARY**
This Outside Sales role is responsible for generating and closing new business opportunities in the commercial and residential markets, ensuring overall customer satisfaction. In this role, you will need to build relationships with prospects and clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities. The earning potential is unlimited, with no caps on commissions paid to the salesperson. If you possess these traits and have a passion for this industry, we want to hear from you.
The Commercial/Residential Rep will focus 75% of their time on commercial construction and 25% direct-to-consumer sales. On the Commercial Sales side, you will work closely with builders, contractors, and architects to promote and sell our windows and doors. Residentially, you will watch for home additions, remodelling, and replacement projects. You will be responsible for window takeoffs, generating quotes, delivering quotes to prospective customers, and closing projects. In this position, follow-up is crucial, and overcoming objections to secure the order is necessary. Developing long-term relationships with Builders and Contractors is a critical ingredient to the success of this position.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prospecting for new customers to grow the account base.
- Quoting
- reading blueprints and doing takeoffs from the customer, and converting them into quotes.
- Presenting-various products and services to customers and presenting quotes and detailed descriptions of the project.
- Selling
- attaining sales goals as well as achieving a high closing ratio.
- Margins - sales rep will be responsible for maintaining a certain discount level.
- Product Service - the sales rep will be responsible for initiating service and playing a role in maintaining the companies desired service level.
- Customer Service
- the sales rep will be responsible for maintaining the company's high satisfaction track record.
- Returns - maintaining a low target estimate for product returns.
- Delivery
- the sales rep will be responsible for the need date management that will allow the company to forecast accurately the demands for our labour and delivery.
- Meet with walk-in clients, qualify their needs, work towards a sale.
- Must have reliable transportation and a current driver's license.
**MEETING ATTENDANCE AND WORK HOURS**
- Regular meetings will be held with the owner(s) and or sales management to review key metrics and results.
- Must attend all sales meetings, company meetings, and other mandatory scheduled events.
- Attendance at monthly builder's meetings is necessary where applicable.
**EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE**
- Knowledge and experience with window and door materials are strongly preferred
- Building material sales experience, including both familiarity with product lines and the overall building contractor process, is highly preferred
- Previous outside sales experience is required
- Experience with quoting software an asset
- Have a strong understanding of commercial and or residential new construction and replacement window and door installation
- Experience working with Architects on window specifications
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented with a strong desire to succeed
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
- Experienced CRM user
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- People-person that can establish relationships and a good rapport with clients
- Detail-oriented, fast learner, multitasker, organized
- Familiar with blueprint takeoffs with Door/Window schedules and floorplans
- A degree or diploma is considered an asset
**KNOWLEDGE & TRAINING**
- Identifies personal growth needs and improvement opportunities; seeks to obtain product information; learns about building packages and products.
- Provides window and door training to builders, contractors, and architects.
**COMPENSATION**
- A robust total compensation package will be offered; however, details will only be disclosed during interviews.

**Salary**: $30,464.00-$163,092.00 per year
