**About This Opportunity**:
A clinic in the Clayton Park area is looking for a Family Physician to join its professionally managed clinic. This clinic is centrally located and is conveniently nested within a residential area with a short commute to schools, stores and shopping centers. There are currently 3 physicians in the clinic and a Family Practice Nurse whose services are equally shared amongst physicians. This role may come with an existing patient roster of 1200 to 1400 patients.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
- Act as a patient’s advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

**Expected Hours**:
Full-time, 1.0FTE

**Qualifications**:

- Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
