Technical Program Manager, Augmented Reality

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanic Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in Program Management working cross-functionally with engineering teams to develop and manage Hardware projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- 6 years of experience with professional development.
- Experience shipping products in a lead or principal Technical Program Management role.
- Experience with hardware design, and 6 full product cycle development or launches (e.g., Consumer/Enterprise Electronic Industry).
- Travel up to 20% and participate in virtual Google Video Chat(s) to coordinate with teams globally.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

The Google Augmented Reality team is a diverse group of experts tasked with building the foundations for great immersive computing and building helpful, delightful user experiences. We're focused on making immersive computing accessible to billions of people through mobile devices, and our scope continues to grow and evolve.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage technical projects or programs, working with Engineers and technical staff to develop and track workstreams and goal dates for the many moving parts that need to come together.
- Develop and drive hardware schedules with well-defined milestones.
- Assess build(s) qualitatively through monitoring of issues, defects by managing validations/test results quantitatively, and trends quantitatively.
- Develop playbook, tools, and processes to collaborate engineering productivity, and own technical relationships with cross-functional vendors and partners.
- Provide clear communication across functional teams to drive transparency and end-to-end coordination of deliverables.
