Position Summary:
**Position Details**:
Acuren Wind CA. is now hiring a GWO Instructor supporting both external and internal GWO training along with blade repair and inspection training.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver field-based safety training, GWO, confined space, standard first aid and similar courses at our facilities, those of our partners and in remote locations.
- Deliver field-based blade inspection & repair training: intro to advanced blade repair, retrofits, leading edge protection and project specific trainings.
- Design training aids and mock-ups within your area of expertise.
- Maintain certification database and ensure all technicians are properly trained.
- Support fellow instructors with certification and GWO initiatives.
- Stay current on GWO classroom instructor qualifications.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by operations.

**Requirements**:

- Technical/University Education degree OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5+ years of wind industry experience
- ENSA certified Global Wind Organization (GWO) training certificate is considered an asset.
- Experience training others on topics such as: Working-at-Heights, Lock-Out Tag-Out, Electrical Safety, Basic Electrical, Basic Mechanical, Basic Hydraulics, Cranes and Rigging, CPR/First-Aid, Confined Space and Self-Rescue
- A valid Driver’s license.
- IRATA Certification required including proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/hauling.
- Ability to travel if required.
- Dexterity to traverse rough/slippery terrain on heavy construction sites.
- Physical and emotional capability to ascend to considerable heights (100m/330ft) by vertical ladder, suspended platform, boom truck, lifts or utilizing rope access technology, multiple times per day, while carrying up to 15kgs/30lbs of additional weight.
- Physical capability to bend, kneel, climb, and squat with full range of motion and for prolonged periods of time.
- Comfortable with working in a confined space.
- Demonstrated effective hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Capability to lift up to 25kgs/50lbs unassisted (on occasion up to 35kgs/75lbs).
- Familiarity and comfort in the operation of mechanized hand tools.
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
- Ability to work productively in a variety of adverse conditions.
- Ability to comply with Acuren and/or client-required pandemic policies prior to employment and continued compliance with adaptive Acuren and/ or client pandemic policies.
- Effective verbal and written communication in English is required - French is an asset.
