**Knuckle Picker / Boom Truck Operator and Moffett Forklift Delivery Driver**

**Introduction**

Three Peaks Crane and Transportation is based in Red Deer, Alberta. Servicing multiple customers around Central Alberta.

A crane operator is responsible for loading and offloading by forklift or crane. The operator will haul a variety of loads, mostly roofing and general construction material. As an operator you will be responsible for truck and trailer weights, load securement, and driving as per government regulations and Three Peaks Crane and Transportation’s (TPCT) guidelines. The crane operator should be experienced, and able to understand charts and visible signs of a crane. As an operator, you must keep in mind the value of equipment entrusted to you. You will be expected to work independently. When you enter a job site, you must appear with safety gear at all times.

80% of the job is delivering shingles on rooftops. It is the responsibility of the operator to understand to keep safety in mind, be capable of lifting 80 lbs bundles, and not be afraid of heights.

**Job Offer**

You will receive training to become a certified boom truck operator and get put in to the Alberta Apprenticeship Program right away. Wages will be adjusted to experience. (COVID depending)

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete and understand paperwork such as Pre and Posttrip Sheet, Weekly Maintenance Record, Bill of Lading and Site Assessment.
- Use cell phone provided by the company for e-log, job site pictures, communication and information. Device is to be used during work hours only.
- No smoking in company vehicles allowed.
- Directing of helpers and people around the safety zone.
- Use of ratchet straps and rigging gear, such as chains and slings.
- Responsible loading and observing forklift operators.
- Report damages to company equipment and near miss incidents.
- Manage own hours, e-log basically does that for you.
- Identify driving hazards and takes appropriate actions. Safe driving habits are welcome.
- Set up climbing ladder, ensuring safe and sturdy to climb rooftops.
- Operate crane remote of Hydraulic Crane
- Safe to operate chainsaw and wood chipper
- Handle hammer and nail to install safety boards.
- Reach safety D ring between shoulders on fall arrest harness.

**Personal Characteristics**
- Good physical fitness level
- Able to lift repeatedly lift 100 lbs
- Adequate vision
- Ability to pass drug test at any time.
- Capability to manage and organize tasks
- Communication skills, fluent in English
- Good agility with heights and comfortable walking on sloped roofs.

**Job Requirements**
- Class 1 is favourable, Class 3 minimum required
- Airbrakes Test
- Tri-Drive Tractor and Full Quad Trailer experience welcome
- Grade 12 diploma
- Strictly no drugs allowed in system during work. Zero tolerance.
- Honest work ethic, punctual and able to commute to work independently.
- Experience on HIAB Knuckle Boom Crane
- Fall Arrest certificate is favourable, but can be taken as training too.
- Skills in using tools
- Clear Driving Record.
