Our team is thrilled to be growing again We're looking for talented Postpartum Doulas to join our team in the Toronto area. This is an opportunity for experienced or new postpartum doulas. You will play a critical role for new parents as they raise their newborn child. You will help fill-in the gaps that mothers/ aunts /sisters /neighbors would have filled a hundred years ago with humans all lived in smaller communities. Our overnight support "Sweet Dreams" program is pivotal for new parents adjusting to having a newborn at home. A shift typically runs from 10 pm at night to 6 am the following morning. - There are TWO ways to join our team._ **2) Looking for a new career**: - If you are interested in birth work but are not certified as a doula, that's ok We have a upcoming Postpartum Doula training program available from June 13 to 17. We will be hiring 4 doulas directly from this training. Anyone who attends the training will be guaranteed an interview afterwards. If you then work with Doula School for 6 months, you will be reimbursed for the full cost of your training. **Responsibilities** - Get to know you each individual parent and what is most important to them and their parenting philosophy - Feeding the baby during the nighttime - Changing the baby as needed - Conduct light housekeeping around the home - Soothing the baby and encouraging regular sleep habits - Organizing the nursery and doing baby's laundry - Keeping a log of sleeping, feeding and changing times to help the family develop a schedule **Requirements**: - An interest in Doula work and helping families - Positive attitude - Flexibility to manage a variety of situations - Comfortable working with infants and small children - DONA Certification as a Postpartum Doula - Some travel in your designated geographic area **What we Offer** - Team support - Additional training - We handle all client contracts, payments, billing, etc - Fair commission structure - Dedicated support staff - 18 years of experience - Regular team events **Location** - Toronto - Durham Region - Hamilton **Hours** - Part-time - Full-time **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time Part-time hours: 20 per week **Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Company events - Tuition reimbursement Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Night shift - Weekend availability COVID-19 considerations: We are following all local COVID health guidelines to help keep both clients and employees as safe as possible during this unprecedented time.
