**Position**:We are currently seeking a full time **Service Technician **at our Orangeville manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and applicators for the company. This individual is expected to fulfill their job duties and responsibilities in accordance with Data Cable’s mission and values, and in line with the company’s strategic goals.

**Job Type**:Full-time, Monday to Friday (7:30am to 4:00pm)

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Ensuring a safe working environment and participating in the Internal Responsibility System where everyone shares the responsibility of safety.
- Ensuring that their behaviours contribute to a positive working environment, effective working relationships, and thorough communications with the team.
- Following all procedures and work instructions in accordance with the Quality Management System and actively participate in the review and updating of the system as required.
- Responsible to follow the established Data Cable Policies and Procedures. It shall be the responsibility of the Department Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders to instruct and train their staff with established Data Cable Policies and Procedures.
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing new and existing equipment.
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing new and existing machines.
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing new and existing applicators.
- Creating a preventative maintenance program for all pieces of equipment based on usage and time.
- Completing preventative maintenance on equipment, machines, and tools.
- Completing Verification/Calibration on equipment, machines, and tools to factory specifications.
- Providing support to complete any other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Certification as Millwright or other relevant trade OR equivalent 10 years hands-on experience demonstrating competence with related tasks.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with pneumatics hydraulics, mechanical systems, and strong electrical fundamentals including proficiency with multi-Meter.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, technical blueprints, and electrical wiring schematics.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a quality mindset.
- Ability to flex priorities based on a sense of urgency for production uptime.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure required timelines are met.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated reliability and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Have excellent multi-tasking skills with the ability to track incoming parts needed for repairs and give a finished repair date.
