We are currently looking for **a Production Planner to join our Kitchener, Ontario team**. This is an in-office position, not remote or hybrid.
**Responsibilities**:
- Daily communication with Production and co-ordination of production schedules
- Ensure system updates are conducted to provide accurate planning for purchasing activities and manufacturing capacity considerations
- Analyze & maintain capacity needs to develop realistic manufacturing schedules
- Analyze and communicate part availability to determine potential impacts on production schedule and action necessary to mitigate customer orders
- Accurate and timely processing of Engineering changes
- Analyze and adjust inventory as required (inventory adjustments, reclassifications, receipt reversals and cycle counts)
- Weekly review of system generated inventory reports to identify inconsistencies such as negative location counts, WIP levels and on hand dollar balances
- Monthly reporting of inventory accuracy
- Monthly review of slow-moving inventory
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a materials management & supply chain environment in the capacity of Master Scheduler, Material and/or Production Planner using MRPII/ERP software (preference will be given to those with SAP and/or Navision experience)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- CPIM certification will be considered a strong asset
- Proven organization and prioritization skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal
