From facilities delivering life-saving therapies and ensuring clean water to enabling the connection of people through all modes of transportation and providing access to technology - we're integrating a multitude of these solution elements to build the smart environments of tomorrow._ - Start your Jacobs career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed - today and into tomorrow._ **Your Impact**: We have an exciting opportunity for an **Environmental Planner** to support our **Ottawa, Toronto or Kitchener, ON offices** on a diverse range of projects across Canada throughout various stages of planning and delivery: - Transportation, including transit, roadway, highway and bridge projects - Water and wastewater infrastructure, including treatment plants and conveyance - Other civil and land use projects In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to these projects through activities including: - Managing environmental assessments - Obtaining environmental permits and approvals - Consulting with stakeholders and regulatory agencies - Drafting various public - and client-facing reports and documents - Coordinating public engagement - Reviewing environmental plans and reports - Supporting project pursuits and proposals - Coordinating with project teams consisting of numerous roles and disciplines, including planners, engineers, clients, subcontractors and governmental authorities **Here’s What You’ll Need**: - Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field (Engineering, Environmental Studies, Planning, etc.) - 3+ years of relevant experience - Familiarity with Ontario’s environmental assessment process - Advanced technical writing abilities - Excellent communication and organizational skills - A great attitude and a willingness to learn **The Details**: - Either Toronto, Ottawa or Kitchener based - Hybrid work (home/office) - Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications - At Jacobs, we’re challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world’s most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
