**Overview**

Station Road is looking for a fun, energetic, and creative teacher to join our team.

We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator or an Early Childhood Assistant who has had at least one year experience working with children under the age of 5 years.

This position will involve working in either our Preschool, Toddler or School age rooms Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Shifts may vary from day to day or week to week.

Staff will be eligible to participate in the company benefit plan after successfully completing a 3 month probationary period. This plan is partially funded by the company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, lead and engage in activities with the children throughout the day in each developmental area such as; Creative expression, language and literacy, Math and Science, Circle Time etc.
- Role Model and assist children with safe hygiene practices.
- Changing Diapers/Pull ups and dirty clothing as needed.
- Monitoring children during the day to ensure their safety at all times.
- Working collaboratively with all staff members.
- Provide guidance and assistance to other staff members.
- Ensure the classroom, playground, etc are kept clean and tidy to keep a safe and sanitary environment for children, families and staff by following and implementing a cleaning schedule.
- Arriving on time each day for shifts, and having flexibility to stay later on occasion if needed.

**Qualifications**:

- 1 year of Childcare experience is an asset.
- Degree in Early Childhood education or Equivalent
- WHMIS, First Aid and CPR required
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 5 months)
- Positive, caring and compassionate attitude
- Ability to help others
- Safety conscious with keen observational skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Erin, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
