**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Center Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children in our care, ensuring that all food safety and handling guidelines are strictly followed. Your culinary skills will play a vital role in promoting healthy eating habits among young children while creating a positive dining experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook balanced meals and snacks that meet nutritional guidelines for children.
- Plan menus in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences of the children.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as necessary to ensure availability.
- Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary needs or allergies of children.
- Assist in training staff on proper food handling and safety practices.
- Maintain accurate records of meal preparation, including portion sizes and ingredient lists.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred, particularly within the food industry or restaurant settings.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques, food safety, and proper food handling practices is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in meal planning and preparation.
- A passion for working with children and understanding their nutritional needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $19.50-$21.60 per hour
