Our client is currently looking for a Fire Protection Alarm Systems Installer (companion-Code 222) to join their fire protection department.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Perform the installation, programming, verification, inspection and maintenance of security systems, fire alarm, communicator, emergency lighting, gas detection system according to ULC and CNB standards in force;
Produce reports following the inspection;
Read and understand engineering plans, specifications, schematics, installation manuals and service manuals.

Repair and service intrusion systems;
Program the components and start up the system;
Check the system and its components and perform tests with the central office and the authorities concerned;
Identify any anomalies or recommendations according to the standards in force;
Perform updates and repairs on alarm panels.

**NECESSARY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS**

DEP in security system installation and maintenance (CCQ - Code 222) or hold a diploma in electronics or the equivalent from a recognized college or university or have documented and proven professional competence or equivalent

Attestation of college studies in fire prevention - an asset;
Knowledge of software related to the programming of security systems

Be adept with new technologies in the industry

Knowledge of Mircom, Bosch systems, considered an asset;
Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 70 lbs (31 kg) and climb ladders and scaffolds

Knowledge of the National Building Code, National Fire Prevention Code, ULC and its updates

**Salary**: $30.14 to $35.46 per hour

Working hours:
From Monday to Friday

**Training**:
DEP / AEC or Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:
as a technician: 3 years (Compulsory)

Mircom equipment: 2 years (mandatory)

Fire alarm systems: 2 years (mandatory)

Bosch equipment: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:
English (required)

French (required)

Permit/certificate:
Driver's License (required)

CCQ Card (required)
