- Roles & Responsibilities:_
- Prepares Purchase Orders and gathers specifications for submittal to raw material, hardware, subcontract suppliers.
- Maintains communication with Engineering, Production, Operations and Sales Support regarding job completion and delivery requirements.
- Sources, negotiates and manages purchase orders and long term agreements for raw materials, hardware and sub-contracted parts.
- Conducts root cause analysis, develops required preventative action and procedural change activities.
- Adheres to and enforces compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, regulations and laws.
- Duties and responsibilities may be amended from time to time in order to support efficient company operations.
- Participates in Continuous Improvement teams and activities.
- Administers the processing and maintenance of supplier non-conformance reports.
- Manages and coordinates open orders and arrival dates for raw materials and sub-contractor schedules to ensure they are in compliance with scheduled production requirements.
- Sources, solicits, evaluates and selects quotes and proposals pertaining to material and service requirements.
- Qualifications:_
- Post secondary education in related field preferred
- 0-2 years related work experience in a purchasing or comparable administrative function, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Basic knowledge of and experience in purchasing processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and team building abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficient computer skills and ability to use Word, Excel, ERP and Microsoft Outlook
