**Role description**:
Arcadis Technology Consulting Team focuses on providing solutions involving communications, security and audio-visual systems to organizations that rely on enabling technology for its success.

Our Team is a group of specialists that has worked on thousands of technology projects and use that experience to design solutions that people love to use. We primarily service a demand in sectors of the building industry such as healthcare, corrections and higher ed, where technology is critical to their success in delivering their core services. As such, these market sectors require a high level of expertise and experience in technology consulting and engineering that is not found in the current traditional engineering community.

We are seeking a talented **Technology Systems Specialist**to join our Global Technology Team for our Edmonton office. This position will report to the Technology Systems Architect.**_ _**_NOTE:_**_This position has the flexibility of working from home as our projects are global and team members are located across North America and Europe._**

**Role accountabilities**:

- Report to the Studio Lead & Technology Systems Architect
- Working knowledge of Division 27 and 28 division design and specification process including familiarity with Audio-Visual, Audio Visual, (ESS) Security Systems ICT/ICAT, and Structured Cabling Solutions;
- Systems design of Audio-Visual, (ESS) Security Systems including access control, CCTV/VMS, intrusion/threat detection, and panic/duress systems, and Structured Cabling Infrastructure.
- Lead project, and design teams.
- Draft design specifications of technology solutions in Division 27 & 28 formats and other divisions as required.
- Develop systems design and requirements based on:

- consultation with clients;
- review of building and site design;
- industry best practices.
- Develop drawings including systems line diagrams using formats including Visio, Bluebeam, CAD/Revit.
- Work with our Revit/CAD team to develop floor plans and elevations describing device placement.
- Evaluation of technology equipment available in the industry for suitability of use in design solutions.
- Develop written system specifications and functional system narratives in Master Format specification templates.
- Liaise with design team including electrical, mechanical and architectural consultants as well as Div. 8 and Div.25 requirements.
- Attend/lead design meetings with clients and design team.
- Assist in development of budgetary implementation costs.
- Construction administration as appropriate, including conducting site reviews and issuance of site review reports.
- Project management tasks for successful completion of projects including: forecasting, financial review & management, staff task and workload management.
- Business development and maintenance of internal and external client relations.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
Highly capable with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word and Excel.
- Comfortable working with remote task assignment software programs.
- Familiarity and comfort in working in agile sprint-based team assignment and organizational structure.
- Industry recognized designations an asset including CSP, RCDD, CTS, CSP.
- Experience working with AutoCad/Revit for design and markup of system drawings and specifications and for design review.
- Experience working with design markup programs such as Visio, and Adobe/Bluebeam.
- Ability to work with remote enabling technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, Go To Meeting etc.
- Strong team development and leadership capability

- Engineering/ Architectural / Construction Industry experience beneficial.
