- 1. Act as peer ambassador to the library
2. Greet and welcome everyone to the library
3. Provide basic library help
4. Sign materials in and out for clients (clients defined as students, staff, peers)
5. Shelving, sorting, and processing materials
6. Refer students to library resources to meet their needs
7. Provide technical assistance with library equipment
8. Take payments for library fines and fees
9. Provide basic clerical support
10. Tidying the library
11. Provide the student perspective to improve library services (e.g. social media content)- QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE**Specific Accountabilities**

**Duties**

**Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)**
- 1. Current Saskatchewan Polytechnic student
2. Minimum six (6) months of customer service experience
3. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
4. Basic Internet
5. Basic working knowledge of computers and related office equipment
6. Effective oral communication skills including basic telephone and customer service experience
7. Effective time management and organizational skills
8. Knowledge of automated system software (client databases, inventory etc.)
9. Handling cash and use of a digital cash register
10. Ability to work alone
