We are currently seeking **Purchasing Agent** to join our team in our **Bonnyville Terminal**.
**Position**:Purchasing Agent
**Type**: Full-time
**Location**: Bonnyville Alberta
**Pay**:Commensurate with education and experience
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Analyze purchase requisitions, research products, solicit and receive quotations in accordance with purchasing policy
- Acquire good and services by issuing purchase orders or by purchasing through ecommerce (procurement cards) in accordance with B&R Eckel’s Transport Policy and purchasing standards
- Establish delivery schedules, monitor progress and contact suppliers or clients to resolve problems
- Assist in resolving supplier/client issues, expediting orders and dealing with returns
- Assist in the administration of the program, including establishing new accounts, monthly transaction approval and reporting
- Maintain proper purchasing and vendor files and record
- Responsible for other data entry required for preparation of reports
**Qualifications**
- Journeyman Parts Technician or 3 years general purchasing experience
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all staff, suppliers and the public demonstrating tact and diplomacy
- Reporting experience and being hands on and need mínimal supervision with the ability to multi-task
- Detail-oriented, manages deadlines well, and can work independently
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software
- Proficient in data entry and management
- Work requires willingness to work flexible schedules
