Position Summary

Under the direction of the Pit Manager(s), Gaming Manager, the Dual Rate Dealer Supervisor works primarily as a Dealer, with the addition of working shifts as a supervisor. When working as a Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible to supervise and secure first-class customer service, and will implement gaming procedures on assigned gaming tables in accordance with the internal guidelines while strictly observing the gaming rules and regulations. Scheduling of Supervisor shifts would be conditional to the following: covering vacations, holidays, absences, and the changing of daily and seasonal business needs. **Above all else, must embrace and be aligned with Casino Nova Scotia’s culture and philosophy of providing outstanding entertainment experiences.**

**Job Duties**

**As a Dealer**:

- Conducts live games on the casino floor professionally and as a team member
- Ensures compliance of all regulations, policies, and procedures
- Works closely with Supervisors and management staff to ensure a well-run gaming floor
- Assists players with game rules
- Specific duties vary depending on game (Blackjack, Baccarat, Craps, Poker, Roulette, etc.)
**As a Supervisor**:

- Supervises table game activities to ensure compliance with game rules and regulations, policies and procedures
- Promotes the values of Casino Nova Scotia by example at all times and encourages others to do the same
- Ensures professional game activity and respectful customer service by attending to guests with optimal care and professionalism
- Maintains a personal commitment to active teamwork, leads by example, and acts as ambassador for the Casino
- Jointly responsible for the strict compliance with licensing requirements as well as incurred liabilities (trespass, money laundering, social obligations)
- Views, identifies, and verifies large cash and color transactions
- Opens and closes tables, verifying table floats and ensuring all necessary paperwork and procedures are completed
- Responsible for information relayed to the Pit Manager(s) and the Table Games Manager and other employees, when applicable
- Other duties as assigned
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Grade 12 or equivalent is required
- Strong basic mathematic skills required to determine winnings, losses, and game outcomes is required
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills is required
- Proven sound judgement and decision-making skills is required
- Demonstrated aptitude to create an entertainment experience with guests is required
- Demonstrated exceptional communication, negotiating, and conversational skills is required
- Proven to be detail oriented, reliable, punctual, efficient, trustworthy, diligent in duties and responsibilities, and a team player
- Self-motivated and works well in a fast-paced environment
**Additional**:

- Must be able to concentrate and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work various shifts
