We are looking for casual and temporary part-time dietary aides to join our Culinary Services Team. We are looking for people who have a strong desire and ability to provide high quality services in our department and for our residents living in our complex care and assisted living home.

**Description**:
Our Dietary aides perform duties related to food and meal service operations, such as:

- Preparation, distribution and serving of meals/snacks/catering to residents/ clients/guests
- Dining room/tray setup and cleanup
- Dish/pot/utensils/equipment washing and cleaning of food service and related areas
- Putting away and rotation of food and supplies.

All duties were completed using safe food handling and sanitation techniques.

**Skills and abilities**:

- An ability for developing and maintaining respectful and effective working relationships with co-workers and others.
- Able to read and communicate well in English with staff, residents, volunteers and guests.
- Able to communicate tactfully and maturely when working with residents, staff, volunteers and guests.
- Must be in good health and physically able to carry out the duties of the position.
- Able to work in a warm, fast-paced and noisy environment.
- Able to learn new skills and procedures.

**Education, Training & Experience needed**:

- Grade 10 or equivalent general education.
- Current Food Safe - Level 1 certificate. Please provide expiry date.
- Experience working in an institutional kitchen preferred

- Shifts are available between 6:30 am and 9:30 pm, 7 days a week._
