The Chancery Office is looking for two full-time Custodians, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. Established in 1856, the Diocese of Hamilton is the second-largest diocese in English speaking Canada, serving the needs of more than 626,000 Roman Catholics throughout Southwestern Ontario. **Primary Responsibilities - Year Round**
- Daily Cleaning and Maintenance of Offices/Meeting Rooms/ Washrooms/ Kitchens, etc.
- Dry mop/sweep/vacuum and wet mop all floors as necessary
- Collection and disposal of garbage and recycling
- Set-up for meetings
- arrange tables and chairs as requested
- greet meeting participants as they enter the building and guide them to correct meeting space
- Snow and ice control at entrances as necessary, including shoveling and salting for safety of meeting participants
- Inspection of facility lighting system, fire alarm, and emergency systems
- Responsible for arming and disarming building security system as required
- Other duties as required by the Maintenance Supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Education: high school or equivalent
- 2-4 years of custodial experience and in good physical condition
- Ability to work independently and follow instruction
- Ability to work with other custodial staff ensuring the facility is maintained at a high standard
- Slip-resistant footwear required

License: G Class Driver's License
