**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Risk Management team on strategic initiatives and projects to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization.
- Conduct analysis of credit risk portfolios, including the assessment of credit quality, concentration risk, and portfolio performance.
- Assist in the preparation, organization, cleaning, and analysis of data to support risk management activities, including stress testing, scenario analysis, and regulatory reporting.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for risk-related reporting tasks, including the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.
- Assist in projects and initiatives as assigned to the Risk Management team from Head Office and/or the American Division
- Support the development and enhancement of risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory developments to contribute to the continuous improvement of the risk management function.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in risk management (e.g. enterprise, market, liquidity), credit risk analysis, or a related field within the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau) and experience with risk management systems (e.g., Moody's RiskFrontier, SAS Risk Dimensions) is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional, clear and precise reports and presentations to the Board and senior management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage tight timelines and multi-task.
- Knowledge of banking regulations, regulatory guidelines and risk management practices, particularly with relations to the Canadian financial services industry is desirable.
