Cable Technician

Duties:

- Install, maintain, and repair cable systems in commercial buildings
- Perform cable testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve connectivity issues
- Terminate and splice cables using appropriate tools and techniques
- Install and configure network equipment, such as routers and switches
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns

**Skills**:

- Mechanical knowledge for handling cables and equipment
- Proficiency in telecommunication systems, including telephone and cable TV
- Experience with hand tools for cable installation and repair
- Knowledge of computer networking principles, including Ethernet protocols
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts for working with low voltage systems
- Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches is a plus
