About the Role
Science North’s Camp-Ins are an overnight science experience offered to classes between grades 4 to 12, running throughout May and June. Students participate in hands-on and engaging science activities, enjoy live science shows, and have the opportunity to spend the night at Science North, sleeping in our iconic Vale Cavern.
As a Camp-In Science Supervisor, you'll play a key role in developing the science programming for our overnight Camp-In experiences and ensure that all participating students and teachers have an incredible experience. You'll work in the evenings to supervise the camp-ins when they begin at 4:00 pm, until students go to sleep at midnight.
Outside of camp-ins, you’ll support other education initiatives such as delivering virtual workshops, developing school programs, facilitating the RoboKids after school program, preparing for the 2025-2026 school year and our Summer Science Camps in July and August.
**What You’ll Do**:
- Develop and update science-based programs for students from grade 4 to 12.
- Help train science demonstrators in camp-in programming.
- Support teachers when they arrive for camp-ins and throughout their experience.
- Support participants during their Camp-In experience, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.
- Assist in program setup, delivery, and teardown.
- Supervise camp-in demonstrators.
- Support in the development and the delivery of Robo-Kids program.
- Collaborate with the education team to develop and deliver learning experiences for students of all ages.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- Someone who has a passion for science and education
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with children or in an educational settings
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings between May and June.
- Experience in a supervisory role.
- French is an asset.
- Enthusiasm, energy, and a knack for making science fun

This is role is based out of our main facility at 100 Ramsey Lake Road, Sudbury and requires predominantly onsite work, Monday to Friday, with evening work required often during May and June.
