**ABOUT THE ROLE**
AEI is seeking a **Homestay Administrator**in Anglophone School District - East (ASD-East) to work collaboratively with our Regional Manager and our team of Homestay Coordinators. This one-year contract is a full-time, 12-month per year position, based out of your own home (i.e., remote).
**WHO WE ARE**
AEI’s international student program welcomes students from around the world into New Brunswick’s Anglophone middle and high schools. Tuition-paying students live with host families, attend classes in New Brunswick public schools and participate in extra-curricular and community activities. As an organization, AEI is responsible for the safety of, and client services to, these students throughout their time in our program.
The Homestay Administrator role is responsible for supporting the Regional Manager and working with the Homestay Coordinators in their school district.
**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**
- Managing the homestay component of AEI’s student database (i.e., homestay matches, host family stipends, Criminal Record Checks & Vulnerable Sector Checks).
- Acting as the first line of communication for Homestay Coordinators to resolve and troubleshoot homestay issues.
- Assisting with direct and indirect problem solving between host families and students.
- Coordinating and participating in student arrivals and departures.
- Performing other student and organization related duties as required.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as required.
**ASSET QUALIFICATIONS**
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with understanding and sensitivity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with particular attention to detail.
- Experience working with youth.
- Ability to use tact and good judgement to effectively resolve stressful conflict situations.
- Ability to use standard office equipment and proficiency with MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), additional database programs and social media.
- A valid New Brunswick driver’s license, safe driving record and access to a personal vehicle.
**EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND**
- Minimum of two (2) years’ post-secondary education in an applicable field.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- Your Team**:New Brunswick International Student Program (NBISP).**
- Standard hours of work**:Monday - Friday, 8:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m**. Flexible hours are available; work on weekends and evenings is required on occasion.
