Finishing Foreman

Penfor Construction offers “turn-key” General Contracting for the construction of multi-family commercial and agricultural facilities. Our team will design, estimate and oversee complete construction, ensuring that the project is completed on time and on budget.

We are currently looking for a **Finishing Foreman**to join our team. This position will work at various site locations throughout Winnipeg and will be required to report to the Blumenort head office as necessary.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversees all millwork installation by delegating work to be completed to the team and working alongside the team to ensure the installations are completed in a timely manner
- Partners with the Site Supervisor and/or Project Manager to plan and prepare for installation projects ensuring all necessary supplies are on site when needed
- Coordinating and delegating daily tasks to the finishing team
- Implements and/or enforces safety protocols on site with finishing team to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Troubleshoot any issues arising with materials or equipment as necessary
- Managing, training and mentoring finishing team staff
- Review and approve shop drawings
- Reporting project status to site supervisors and project managers as required

**Requirements**:

- 5-10 years’ experience working in a millwork installation capacity
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Leadership skills for effectively delegating tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong mathematical orientation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- Excellent internal/external customer service orientation and good teamwork skills

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
