**Job Overview**:
This position will be reporting to the Merchandising Director of ISN Canada. The associate is accountable and responsible for executing the purchasing strategy and day to day activities for buying, min/max strategies, overseas container buying and order follow-up working directly with our suppliers and sales & customer service teams ensuring we optimize inventory and sales opportunities.

**Responsibilities**:
Buying
- Develop purchasing strategies and identify buying trends (min/max)
- Replenishes products through proper buying procedures
- Overseas container purchasing strategies for select products
- Monitors and acts upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensures orders for product are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns
- Oversees customer special order procedure
- Analyzes and controls product transfers
- Communication on inventory/status of orders with internal teams to meet customer needs
- Maintains financial profitability by meeting and exceeding purchasing and sales targets.

Product Assortment / Vendor Relationship
- Working with supplier for trend right product assortments for various projects and customers
- Strategy to optimize inventory and exit strategies on excess inventory
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute strategies
- Optimize our new product introductions and using digital customer and in-house data to provide insights on products to inventory

Master Data
- Lifecyle management of products and attributes
- New sku creations
- Market and competitive pricing research as needed

Promotions
- Building promotions in current systems - including any overstock or exit strategy promotions
- Forecast promotional inventory requirements & Tracking performance
- Analyse and recommend purchasing strategies to maximise profits

Business Case Analytics
- Analytics required on regular basis using in-house data (Power BI) for business insights on product assortment and assisting to identify market opportunities.

**Who You Are**:

- 2+ years in related role in purchasing in similar industry in distribution
- Strong organizational skills, ability to plan, prioritize and execute an inventory plan while meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with others to drive flexible solutions, quickly and easily
- Outstanding communication skills
- A whiz at Excel V-look ups are just the beginning for you
- Bilingual (French & English)
- Experience in the tools, equipment, industrial and safety products is an asset
- Experience with overseas buying is an asset

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
