**Position Overview**:
Aplin is looking for an amazingly talented Survey Drafter to join our team in Surrey, BC. Survey Drafter works under the direction of a Project Manager responsible for the completion of wide range drawings for strata/air space projects, topographic and rights-of-way surveys, surveys on First Nation lands and many other diverse types of surveys.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with Project Manager/Land Surveyor to ensure survey procedures are followed and project expectations are met.
- Prepare drawings for various types of surveys that may include legal, topographic, right of ways, construction layout, as built and engineering surveys.
- Conduct land title office research.
- Work with clients in a professional manner.
- Ensure collected data is accurate and standard survey procedures have been followed. Any other duties as assigned.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 3 years of Civil 3D drafting experience along with a strong Survey background
- Post-secondary education, Survey Technology diploma preferred
- Strong computer skills including a proficiency with Civil 3D software and experience customizing AutoCAD, scripts, tools, and menus
- Experience with strata and Airspace plans
- Ability to read and draft Survey, and Legal plans, and interpret civil engineering drawings and architectural plans
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
**Compensation**
The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience, skillsets, and qualifications.
