We are looking for a **Financial Analyst** to join our collaborative finance department at our Head Office in **Dartmouth, NS**. This role is responsible for managing daily cash flow, period end closings; financial reporting, planning and analysis.

**Principle Responsibilities**
- Performs daily bank reconciliations
- Completes balance sheet reconciliations
- Reviews sub ledger postings and resolves issues
- Assists with the annual audit
- Assists with preparing and distributing financial reporting packages
- Assists with planning, forecasting and budgeting
- Completes and submits sales tax returns
- Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses
- Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management

**Required knowledge and training**
- Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Professional accounting designation or enrolled at senior level
- 2-4 years financial accounting and payroll processing experience in a medium or large sized company
- Business, finance and accounting fundamentals including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong analytical, budgeting, forecasting and reporting skills
- Excellent ERP and Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and reconciliation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
