Cement Mill Coordinator

- Supervise the work of the Production Supervisors/Coordinators, by reviewing the performance of each shift with regards to the effectiveness of use of resources, operational KPIs; ensure optimal communication and hand-over between shifts; implement and review the shift production routines; monitor and maintain list of needed overtime coverage with the assistance of shift supervisors to identify instances where additional support is needed. Provides coverage for vacation and filling in as required. Co-ordinates department activities with other plant departments to minimize downtime, make efficient use of manpower, eliminate recurrent problems and meet production schedules. Oversee the development and training of new and existing employees. The training will be performed mainly by the shift supervisors but not only. Supervise training and operational procedures of the Control Room Operators.

- Management of raw material stockpiles and locations once product has been procured. Processing of raw materials either through third party contractors or own employees, this includes reviewing work orders, optimizing production and in-plant logistics to maintain a reasonable inventory of ready to use raw materials. Management of incoming raw materials, including working with contractors and plant personnel to ensure efficient handling and safe inventory levels.

- Perform routine checks of equipment and systems to maintain optimal efficiency. Review all equipment stops and associated downtime identifying areas of improvement and implementation of corrective actions. Arrange for repairs and refurbishment of production specific devices and materials. Create Purchase Requests and monitor inventory levels of production specific non stock items as well as rentals and new equipment needed

- Report daily production achievements and set backs at daily meeting. Liaise between production, electrical, and maintenance departments regarding scheduling and prioritization of repairs and downtime required. Assist in the establishment of production and efficiency goals. Establishes short and long term action plans to meet individual, departmental and plant goals. Assist with the collection of field measurements to ensure that equipment is profiled and process data is documented and analyzed.

- Create and maintain new systems of control for process related machinery and procedures. Develop and institute process improvements with various input from the Process Engineer, Quality Manager, and Production Manager.

- With assistance and input from relief supervisor develop weekly plant cleaning schedules for day shift yard crew as well as production labor. Identify areas for engineered improvements.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**

Directly supervises Production Shift Coordinators/Supervisors and provides weekly schedules pertaining to hourly dayshift employees and the associated tasks to be performed under the direction and supervision of the shift supervisor or relief supervisor. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
