**GENERAL PURPOSE**:
The Transportation Coordinator is accountable and responsible for movement of finished goods, product orders by all types of motor carrier, the service delivered and the costs of delivery. Working with each of the three Rogers Divisions (Sales, Armstrong and Chilliwack) sales, warehouse, production personnel, the Transportation Coordinator will insure the timely and efficient delivery of finished goods to Rogers’s customers.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide support and coordination of truck and export shipments.
- Ensure orders are processed promptly and accurately dispatched for on-time delivery.
- Provide co-ordination of products between divisions where required.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Perform studies and analytical research on projects related to logistics and transportation optimization including:

- Reload studies
- Carrier rate analysis
- What-if scenarios
- Transportation options, and
- Others as assigned.
- Support and contribute to the design and implementation of information systems to support transportation requirements and company food safety standards.
- Provide operational back-up for transportation and logistics staff.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) while performing job duties and tasks.
- Carries out additional duties and projects as assigned.
- Responsible for compliance with Canada Labour Occupational Health and Safety requirements and company safety standards.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Strong logical, conceptual, analytical and organizational skills to perform the analytical portion of their duties.
- Experience in warehousing and with the motor carrier industry is a requirement.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Related training in business with a focus on Logistics & Supply chain is preferred, C.S.C.P designation and/or enrollment in the C.S.C.P. program.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Armstrong, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Warehouse Management: 1 year (preferred)
