**Description**:
The Analyst, Compensation is responsible for supporting in day-to-day and annual compensation activities to align with Inter Pipeline’s Compensation Philosophy.
This includes performing job evaluations and compensation recommendations; conducting competitive market analysis; and supporting the annual compensation cycle.
Collaboration and coordination with HR Business Partners and other departments across HR is critical for this role.

**Key Activities and Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the annual compensation review processes, including collaborating with HR Systems & Analytics, developing communications materials, preparing analysis, managing compensation letters, and validating compensation calculations.
- Support the administration of the short-term and long-term incentive plans, including calculating and validating payout information for accuracy.
- Participate in and conduct industry surveys and analysis on internal and external salary statistics.
- Manage the Compensation inbox inquiries from leaders and HR Business Partners.
- Conduct Job Evaluation and internal analysis that align with and maintain the integrity of the Compensation Framework.
- Support compensation project work as needed, including market analysis, allowance reviews, cost modelling, etc.
- Collaborate with Accounting to provide monthly and quarterly reports for accruals, as well as ad hoc requests.
- Provide compensation analytics to support HR Business Partners and their client groups.
- Support data integrity by reviewing compensation and titling recommendations and updating the system as necessary.
- Provide back-up support to Payroll Analyst as needed.

**Education, Skills and Experience**:

- A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive compensation/total rewards experience including administration of bonus programs, the annual compensation cycle, and market analysis.
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business or other relevant fields.
- Skilled in Excel and other MS Office programs.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Working knowledge of Success Factors considered an asset.
- Experience with Payroll considered an asset.
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with HR colleagues and guide managers in compensation recommendations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to prepare presentations and policies on compensation.

Full time, onsite, Monday-Friday, 40h/week
