Permanent residency within 120 km of Plains’ Rocky Mountain House / Buck Creek field office is a condition of employment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Flexible and willing to work within pipeline / truck terminal operations and provide project support.
- Maintain the site preventative maintenance program, including managing computerized equipment maintenance records and data.
- Identify opportunities for optimization and improvement
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies/procedures as they pertain to this position.
- Able to build and maintain relationships with Plains employees and stakeholders including landowners, contractors, utility companies, and municipalities.
- Able to perform minor maintenance duties with pumps and piping, demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude.
- Capable of independent work with mínimal supervision; and
- Self-motivated and energetic with effective written/verbal communication skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum Grade 12 education with previous experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Electrical, PLC and Instrumentation equipment within the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Inter-provincial Journeyman status in the electrical trade with 3 - 5 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Addition technical instrumentation or certification is considered and asset.
- Possess a strong electrical/instrumentation aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot related problems.
- Strong commitment to on-the-job safety to ensure a safe work environment for all employees and contractors.
- Allen Bradley or Modicon PLC programming experience would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated computer knowledge with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Self-motivated and energetic with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals in a busy field environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks, and
- Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
